Utopia of the Seas is the sixth Oasis-class ship, launched in July 2024. While similar in dimensions to her sisters (around 236k GT and ~1,188 feet long), Utopia marks a significant evolution as the first Oasis-class ship powered by LNG fuel. She is designed primarily for shorter itineraries (3-4 night cruises) without skimping on amenities. Utopia can host roughly 5,668 guests double occupancy, and up to about 7,000 passengers in total. Guests will find all the Oasis-class favorites: seven distinct neighborhoods (Boardwalk, Central Park, etc.), the AquaTheater, Ultimate Abyss slide, water slides, and more. Utopia also has new touches geared toward weekend cruisers, such as enhanced nightlife and dining. With her advanced LNG propulsion, Utopia is both a “green” ship and an action-packed floating playground – a unique combination of Oasis-class scale with the ethos of a getaway cruise.
Unique features:
LNG propulsion: Utopia of the Seas is the first Oasis-class vessel powered by liquefied natural gas, making her more environmentally friendly. This cleaner-burning fuel, along with other tech upgrades, reduces emissions and sets a milestone for the class. Despite being an Oasis ship, Utopia’s LNG engines represent a technological leap forward.
Short-cruise specialist: Uniquely, Utopia is the first Oasis-class built for short cruises (3–4 night voyages). Royal Caribbean tailored her offerings for quick getaways – expect high-energy top-deck attractions, “weekend party” vibes, and fast casual dining options to maximize fun on shorter itineraries. Utopia brings unrivaled Oasis-class thrills (from FlowRiders to Broadway shows) to the short cruise market, a first for a ship of this size.
