Ovation of the Seas, launched in April 2016 as the third Quantum-class ship, measures approximately 168,666 gross tons over about 1,138 feet and accommodates around 4,180 guests at double occupancy (up to 4,905 at maximum). Originally built for the Chinese and Australian markets, she spent winters in Asia and summers in Alaska, making her a versatile globe-trotter. Ovation retains signature Quantum-class attractions such as the North Star observation capsule, RipCord by iFLY skydiving simulator, SeaPlex indoor sports complex, and the immersive Two70 lounge. Among her standout touches are the giant panda and cub sculptures on the top deck—a nod to her initial China deployment—and unique culinary concepts like the Kung-Fu Panda Noodle Shop. These elements blend high-tech thrills with cultural flair for an all-encompassing cruise experience.
Panda sculptures & artwork: Home to 33-foot-tall mother-and-cub panda statues on Deck 15, symbolizing good luck and reflecting her Asia heritage.
Global traveler: Built to adapt easily between Asian and Western markets, she features multilingual signage and flexible dining options for diverse homeports.
Last major drydock/update: None to date beyond her maiden 2016 launch; she underwent only routine maintenance drydock in 2021 without significant upgrades.
